Yuletide Festival

The most wonderful time of the Year!!

We would like to welcome everyone to the 47th Annual Yuletide Festival. Come and visit our quaint Downtown as we fill the weekend with shopping, food, entertainment, and family fun for everyone!  Our Welcome Center will be located inside the Blissfield Village Office at 130 South Lane Street in Downtown Blissfield. Welcome Center will be open from 10am to 5pm Friday and Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Read below for more details on each day’s festivities.

Friday

  • 10am to 8pm Enjoy shopping at all of our stores for that perfect find or treasure for everyone on your list. Don’t miss the Yuletide Market located in two places this year. Vendors will be set up at 121 South Lane and 124 South Lane. Make sure to enter in the Grand Prize Drawing at each participating business. For every $10 spent at a business, you will earn 1 entry for your chance to win a terrific prize!
  • Make sure you visit some of our Lost Artisans set up in our businesses. They will demonstrate their skills for you to see. You can even purchase some of the handcrafted items they have on display.
  • Elves on the Shelves Make sure you stop and grab your stamp pass at the Welcome Center located in the Blissfield Village Office. Then visit the participating businesses and find Santa’s Elves wherever they are hiding to collect your stamps. After your card is filled, drop it off at any participating business to win a chance at $25 in Blissfield Bucks to spend at a participating Blissfield merchant.
  • Our first Taste of Blissfield will take place from 5:30 to 8pm inside the tent on South Lane Street. Tickets can be purchased for only $15  at the Village Office or online and samples will be provided by a variety of local establishments.   • Make sure to come to South Lane Street and welcome Santa to Blissfield! Our annual Santa parade will begin at approximately 6:30pm. Miss River Raisin will be accompanying Santa and meet at the tree across from the Historic Depot. When everyone arrives, we will light the tree and Miss River Raisin will sing a carol.
  • There will be Cookies, Hot Cocoa, and Live Entertainment after the tree is lit. Walk back over and grab some hot cocoa and cookies and listen to some live entertainment. At 7:15pm Blissfield Elementary will be preforming in the tent. At 7:30pm, Miss River Raisin will announce the store decorating contest and perform some of her Christmas favorites for you to enjoy.

Saturday

  • Breakfast with Santa Get an early start to the exciting day. Grab a wonderful meal and say hello to the Big Man himself. Breakfast starts at 8am and goes until 10am at the Main Street Stable and Tavern. $10 for adults and $5 for kids to enjoy a buffet breakfast. No ticket is required however it is first come, first served.
  • Make sure to stop at the Fall Book Sale from 11am to 4pm. The sale is located at the Schultz Holmes Memorial Library.
  • Cookie Exchange Stop and grab a cookie bag for $5. You will also need your list of participating businesses at the Welcome Center located in the Blissfield Village Office and then collect your cookie from each one!! The exchange will take place from 12pm to 4pm.
  • Santa will be stationed at the Historic Depot from 12pm and 4pm. There will be a table setup to create a letter you can give to Santa himself just in time to get on the nice list!
  • While Santa is in the Depot, a few of his reindeer will be outside for you to come and visit with. Live reindeer are always special treat to bring the family to visit.
  • Blissfield Martial Arts Studio will be showcasing their skills and techniques. This demonstration will take place in the tent on South Lane Street from 11am to 12pm.
  • Take a carriage ride through Blissfield with the Berry’s and their horses. Rides are $5 a person (5 years and younger are free) and you can meet at the corner of Jefferson and South Lane to hop on the next carriage. The rides will be available from 12pm to 4pm.
  • Make sure to stop by the tent on South Lane Street and check out live entertainment throughout the afternoon on Saturday.
  • The Schultz Holmes Memorial Library is hosting a Yule Make It library ornament station. This is event takes place from 1pm to 4pm. Bring the family and create some ornaments for your tree.
  • Yuletide Cheer Get excited for a hard cider tasting and Live music in the tent! Rio Doyle and Mojo & The Outlaws will be performing from 5pm to 8pm. Cider tastings will be from Bennetts Orchard and Black Fire Winery. 4 tastings of your choosing are included with the purchase of entry. Additional tastings can be purchased. Tickets are $15 and can be pre-purchased online or at the Village Office. Click here for tickets.

Sunday

Then visit the participating businesses and find Santa’s elves wherever they are hiding to collect your stamps. After your card is filled, drop it off at any participating business to win a chance at $25 in Blissfield Bucks to spend at a participating Blissfield merchant.

  • Cookie Decorating Come have some fun with Emmy’s Kitchen and decorate some holiday cookies. Adult class is from 12pm to 1pm and a kid’s class will be from 1pm to 2pm. Classes are $25 a person and can be purchased at Emmy’s Kitchen.
  • The Adrian College’s Acapella group will be performing at the tent from 3pm to 5pm. This is a group you will not want to miss! They are sure to get you in the Holiday spirit.
  • Grand Prize drawing will take place at 5:15pm at the tent on South Lane Street. All of the tickets from the weekend will have a chance to be drawn for Blissfield Bucks totaling the amount of $1400. Our businesses appreciate everyone that attended and shopped.
